About a year and a half ago I was writing reviews for mikesstogies.com and I got a request from GC if I would help him out by writing some pieces for him. Seems he had gotten busy and needed some help.Fair enough,I'm always willing to lend a hand. The cigar "blogging world"Is full of some very fine people and we generally help each other out(besides busting stones on twitter). I agreed to  help out by doing op/ed pieces and interviews,cigarbage reviews(refere to my cigarbage posts). During that time GC and I got to know each other (or as well as phone calls,texts and emails get...loll) And we found that we had allot in common and had many of the same ideas about this site and life in general. Most importantly we enjoy telling stories "wrapped around" the a cigar review. Recently GC got an opportunity to work in his dream field. So I "truly " wish him all the best. Don't think he won't pop up here from time to time. I suspect he will when he has time.
     So what is going to change here since I'm at the helm? not much,both GC and I wanted to bring this site to a more fuller appreciation of the cigar and the lifestyle that surrounds it.Good smokes,good beer, fine spirits and the friendship that a cigar engenders among us BOTL and SOTL. I'm sure those of you who have been reading this site have seen the new writers RHGodess gives us another point of view;a sister of the leafs'. CTderek is writing about another passion of his; craft beers(he brews his own too). I'm hoping to add some one to write about spirits and pairing suggestions (?) with cigars. so I want to invite you to add your comments if you have any and thank you once again for all the well wishes. Up most here is to have fun, and its" truly" a labor of love and self satisfaction to be able to share our what we have written with you and hope you find it informative and enjoying. My feeling is this;if you take the time to read and respond we can take the time to answer all of you. Thank you again for taking the time out of a busy schedule to read us and please check out our advertisers and recommended sites.(they help to keep the site up)No one here is making a living at this (man just think if we could !loll)And as always-ALL THE BEST FROM SMOKINJOE!
