Dogfish Head Beer review:My Antonia

Today I am going to review a limited edition Dogfish Head beer that was first brewed in 2008 and is released in small batches every year.

Brewer: Dogfish Head Craft Brewing Company
Beer: My Antonia - American double / Imperial pilsner
ABV: 7.50%
Bottle: 1 pint

Appearance / Body: Is slightly cloudy with a golden orange color. The head is thick and white and lasts for several minutes.

Smell: The initial smell was of sweet citrus with a small hint of herbs.

Taste: The taste was simple. The initial flavor to my pallet was of citrus and then a sweet note. The finish was of grapefruit with a slight bitter note from the hops but not to much. It had a very refreshing carbonation to it helping bring out the flavors.

The overall opinion of this beer is high. It was very enjoyable with a refreshing flavor. I would recommended it to all styles of beer drinkers. My overall rating on this beer is an 9.

Enjoy,
CTDerek
